Duane "Catfish" Miller October 31, 1944 - May 27, 2024 CONGERVILLE - Duane "Catfish" Miller, 79, of Congerville, IL, passed away on May 27, 2024, after an extended illness. Duane was born on October 31, 1944, in Congerville to Ruth Louise (Schurter) and Elmer Edgar Miller and graduated from Eureka High School in 1962. He joined the US Air Force and attended basic training at Lackland AFB. He then trained as a Supply Inventory Management Specialist at Amarillo AFB. Sergeant Duane Miller was deployed to Vietnam serving first at Pleiku Air Base (1967-68) and then a second tour at Cam Ranh Bay (1968-69). He was a lifetime member of the American Legion having joined more than 57 years ago. Duane retired from the United States Postal Service in Bloomington where he worked as a mail handler for more than 29 years. In his free time Duane loved to fish, camp, and hang out with friends. He enjoyed his family connections and faithfully attended reunions. He also loved his Congerville community
