Mary J. Froman December 16, 1935 - June 8, 2024 SECOR - Mary J. Froman, 88, of Secor, IL, passed away at 4:24 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka. She was born on December 16, 1935, in Bloomington, IL, a daughter of James and Hildred Blakney Barnett. She married Virgil L. Froman on November 24, 1957, in Hudson. He passed away on December 12, 2007. Survivors include her children: Joseph (Lisa) Froman of Havana, Gail (Danny) Hulva of Secor, David Froman of Secor, Ann Froman of Lincoln, Karen Froman of Lubbock, TX, Sally (Dave) Carlson of Aurelia, IA, Lisa (Rick) Phillips of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Betty Wilson. Mary was a farm wife busy raising seven children. You could always find her in her happy place, mowing her acreage and tending her garden She was a member of the Secor United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the El Paso Food Pantry.
